Are you the first one in the office and the last one to leave? Do you feel like the only way to achieve success is by working 80 or 90 hours per week? Adam Markel has been there. He was a workaholic who put himself in the hospital, then decided that he needed to reinvent his life. If you feel like 2019 is the year you need to pivot out of your current situation, take a listen to this episode for some very practical advice (and also check out Adam’s book, Pivot: The Art and Science of Reinventing Your Career and Life).
Dancing With Your Fears With Kristen Ulmer
Every single one of us has fears that can stop us in our tracks. Many people mistakenly believe that successful people have become bold and fearless by defeating their fears. That’s not true at all! Kirsten Ulmer is a big mountain extreme skier who you might say is an expert in fear. Her advice is to lean into your fears and accept them. Leave your comfort zone and do things because of your fear, not in spite of it.
Identify Your Genius And Leverage It with Mike Zeller
What’s your genius, and how can you leverage it to achieve your goals? Mike Zeller is a social entrepreneur who started eight different businesses in five different industries and has had some amazing success. In this episode, he not only talks about how to tap into your own unique genius, but how to create a peer group of high performers that will bring out the best in you and help you take your life to the next level.
From Homeless to Philanthropist with Jabez LeBret
Sometimes, we need to hear an amazing story to be reminded of what is possible in this world. Jabez LeBret’s story certainly is incredible. Jabez was a homeless high school dropout when he decided to turn his life around by getting his GED in finance. That led to him creating an award-winning marketing agency. But in another stunning twist, he decided to sell his business to pursue his true passion, education, and founded a non-profit. If you want to understand what we are capable of in this life, I highly recommend this episode!
