Don’t think you’ve got what it takes to author a great blog? No worries; just hire a blogger. That’s exactly what BizNetTravel has done to author the BizNetTravel Blog. They hired Olivier Travers to maintain the blog for them, which he does quite well, imo. (Actually, initially it was Rick Bruner they hired to maintain the blog, but Rick took a job at DoubleClick so Olivier took over this blogging-for-pay gig.)
The most memorable moment I had on BizNetTravel Blog was discovering a link to the hilarious Kim Jong-Il Blog parody site. That alone makes Olivier’s blog! I was rolling on the floor laughing as I went through each one of “Kim’s” supposed blog entries and instant message sessions all the way to the first blog post in 2003.
Anyways… I digress. Back to the topic at hand. We all know blogs can be an amazing marketing tool, if wielded properly. So why aren’t more companies (that are short of in-house blogging talent) hiring bloggers with reputations they can leverage?
There is a lawsuit that someone I know is involved in with Toyota/Lexus over intellectual properties. With the recent talks of backlash [http://www.detnews.com/2005/autosinsider/0505/14/autos-181214.htm]
we would love to get some of the information out there. We seek a professional blogger to get some word out.
